Polk State Hosting Adjunct Faculty Job Fair

Polk State will host a job fair for those interested in filling adjunct faculty positions at its various campuses and centers.

The event will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on July 16 in room LTB 1100 at Polk State Lakeland, 3425 Winter Lake Road.

The College is seeking talented and dedicated adjunct faculty members to fill vacancies in a number of high-need subjects, including:

Accounting
Art (2D, 3D, Photography)
Business Analysis
Business Communications
Computer Information Systems
College-credit Mathematics
Developmental Mathematics
Digital Media
Economics
English
Finance
Humanities
Psychology — Human Development
Science — Biology, Chemistry, Physical Sciences
Sociology
Wellness

Job fair attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from the various disciplines, explore part-time teaching opportunities, and discuss requirements. Attendees are encouraged to bring a current resume or vita, as well as unofficial copies of academic transcripts.

Developmental courses require at least a bachelor’s degree and specific coursework and experience. College-credit courses require a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
