02/28/2008:Polk Community College’s 15th Annual Nursing Open House will be held on March 6, 6-8 pm in the Student Center and Nursing Lab on the Winter Haven campus.

Nursing students and faculty will be providing educational displays and conduct tours of the Nursing Lab, which will feature demonstrations of a computerized mannequin, known as SimMan. Academic Advisors will be on hand to assist prospective students.

Last year, approximately 800 people attended the Nursing Open House.

Representatives from various hospitals in Polk County plan to attend and will share information on career opportunities. Members of  the Florida Nursing Student Association (FNSA) will provide refreshments and will hold drawings for numerous door prizes. There will also be special activities for children.
