Eight PCC Men's Basketball Players
Chosen to All Conference Team

02/29/2008:The accolades for Polk Community College’s Men’s Basketball Team keep coming and coming. Eight Polk Community College players were selected to the Suncoast Conference All Conference Men’s Basketball Teams chosen by the Florida Community College Activities Association (FCCAA).

PCC Head Coach Matt Furjanic was selected Suncoast Conference Coach-of-the-Year after leading the Vikings to a 25-5 season (10-2 in the conference).

Four Vikings were selected to the First Team. They are (in rank order):

Rank 2- Lance Jeter, Guard

Rank 5- Destin Damachoua, Guard

Rank 7- Quincy Hankins, Forward/Center

Rank 12- Jeron Belin, Forward

 Four Vikings were selected to the Second Team. They are (in rank order):

            Rank 5- J. T.Tryon, Forward

Rank 8- Greg Henley, Forward/Center

Rank 12- Tyron Johnson, Guard 

PCC Guard Nick Daggett was selected third in the Honorable Mention Team.

WATCH TOURNAMENT GAMES ON DISH TV & ON THE WEB

PCC will face Broward Community College on March 5 at 1 pm in the first round of the Florida Junior College Men's Tournament at Chipola College in Marianna, FL.

PCC Basketball fans will be able to watch most of the state tournament games on TV via satellite TV or via the web. 

            The semi-final games on Friday, March 7, and Men’s and Women’s Championship games on Saturday, March 8, will be available to millions of DISH Network 61.5 subscribers on Channel #9418. Visit www.dishnetwork.com for more information.

            Fans with Internet access can watch a live video web-cast or listen to a radio web-cast of all 14 tournament games on www.chipola.edu/radio Only 60 viewers will be able to access the video cast. The radio web-cast should be available to have a much larger audience.
