PCC Wins State Marketing Award

Community College received a first place award for its outdoor
advertising campaign at Florida Association of Community College’s
recent annual conference. The award was presented to Thomas
Dowling, who directs PCC’s public relations and marketing program.
“This honor would not have been possible without the talents of
Melanie Drake, Advertising Director at Nissen Advertising, who
design the billboard,” said Dowling. “We are a great team!”
The billboard features a large image of two students
working at a computer and the words “Because It Works” and PCC’s
logo emblazoned on it. This design and slogan have been featured
in PCC’s marketing campaign this year and have appeared in several
ads and college publications, such as the Catalog and Class
Schedules.
The competition, conducted by FACC’s Intuitional
Advancement Commission, celebrated the marketing excellence in
Florida’s 28 community colleges. |
