  Index and full text resource for scholarly journal articles.

 Before you Search: All databases are available to currently enrolled student by selecting Databases from the PCC Library website and then selecting Logon to PCC's Databases. Borrower ID = Social Security Number.  PIN = the last four digits of your SSN.

How to Search:  For an Advanced search, enter the term you wish to search in the Find box.  To the right of the Find box is a drop down menu marked In.  Select TI title, AU author, or SU subject.  Enter additional search terms in the optional text boxes.  Select from available search options by limiting to Full Text articles only, or to a specific magazine  title.  Click on the Search button.  

The results are listed in order of date with the newest citation first and the oldest last.  To view the full record containing complete information, click on the title.  Full text options are listed at the top of the citation screen on the Formats line.  Click on the html or PDF icon to view the article. Html format displays the text of the article without any accompanying charts, photographs.  PDF format displays the article exactly as it originally appeared in the journal.  To view only full text articles, check the Full Text box on the search screen.

How to Print: For html format, click on the Print  the top of the article and follow the screens. When the PDF view is displayed, the article opens in  Adobe Acrobat Reader. To print the article, use the print capability available from the Reader.

How to Cite: (COS/MLA)  Author.  "Title of article." Journal Title. Date of Issue: Pages.    Academic Search Premier. Ebsco. Polk Community College Library. Lakeland, FL. Date of access <http://www.ebsco.com/home/>.

Example:  Mintz, Jack.  "Welcome to your new HMO."  Canadian Business, Mar. 3, 2003: 19. Academic Search Premier. Ebsco. Polk Community College Library. Lakeland, FL. 10 Sep 2005  <http://www.ebsco.com/home/>.
