The following databases provide abstracts of, and full-text access to, thousands of magazine and journal articles. 
 

Academic Search Complete  (EBSCO) - Full-text resource containing information from a wide range of academic areas including business, social sciences, humanities, general academic, general science and education.
ArticleFirst (FirstSearch) - ArticleFirst offers searching and browsing of articles and tables of contents from thousands of journals. Contains bibliographic citations that describe items listed on the table of contents pages of journals in science, technology, medicine, social science, business, the humanities, and popular culture. Each record describes one article, news story, letter, or other item. Includes 15.5+ million records from 15,000 journals from January 1990 to the present. Updated daily

Electronic Collections (FirstSearch) - Searchable and browsable index to scholarly journals published in electronic format.
Expanded Academic ASAP (Gale) - Topics range from arts and the   humanities to social sciences, science, and technology. Access scholarly journals,  news magazines, and newspapers - many with full text and images.
Infotrac OneFile (Gale) - Includes more than 4,200 full-text titles; five newspaper indexes -- a total of nearly 8,000 titles in all with more than 20 years of backfile coverage from 1980 to present. InfoTrac OneFile makes approximately 25 million database records available with a single search query. It includes newswires from 89 wire services, newspapers, general interest magazines, refereed academic journals, business publications, technology periodicals, and specialty titles in law, health care and computers.
JSTOR (JSTOR) - Access back issues of core journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Over 700 titles available.
Lexis Nexis (LexisNexis) - Full-text access to a wide range of news, business, legal, and reference information. Medical & health; federal, state & international legal materials; corporate news & financial information, and more.
Omnifile Fulltext Mega (H.W. Wilson) - Full text periodicals, along with article abstracts and indexing, covering business, education, science, social sciences, art, humanities and plus popular magazines.

Americas Newspapers (Newsbank) - Updated daily, this comprehensive national news resource offers the complete electronic editions of more than 600 U.S. newspapers, many of which are not available in any other library database. The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post are all included. America's Newspapers also includes many local Florida newspapers, and their Spanish-language versions, where available.
 
AP Multimedia Archive The AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive provides a sensory journey of photographs, audio sound bites, graphics and text spanning over 160 years of history. Student comprehension and recall skills will improve with visually stimulating imagery meant for use in research papers, theses, reports and PowerPoint presentations.
