Program Director's Message

Dear Students:

Greetings and welcome to the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Website!

Our program was established in January 1999, and our first class of students graduated in December 2000. We are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE), 4720 Montgomery Lane, Bethesda, MD 20824-1220. Our passing rate for first-time takers of the national certification exam is currently 90.9% (30 out of 33 graduates passed the exam on first attempt). Every graduate who passed the certification exam is currently employed in the field and earning excellent wages. We are fortunate to have a very experienced faculty and a great variety of clinical sites in which to place our students for fieldwork experiences.

If you are interested in pursuing a very rewarding, versatile, and challenging career, consider joining us today! On behalf of the faculty, staff, and OTA students, welcome to our program and to an exciting and challenging profession in occupational therapy.

Sincerely,

Saritza Guzmán-Sardina, M.Ed., OTR/L
Director, Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
