CLEP TESTING
What is Polk State College’s CLEP policy?
CLEP testing available on the Winter Haven campus only.
Call the TLCC (863-297-1033) and schedule a test time. Pre-registration is mandatory, no walk-ins. (Test times and days are: 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm & 3:00pm; Monday and Thursday)
Fill out the CLEP Registration-Admission Form, which can be downloaded from www.collegeboard.com/clep or come to the TLCC.
Make all necessary payments to the Cashier the day of the test, prior to the appointment time.
Arrive at the TLCC 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment with voucher from Cashier, credit card if paying College Board by credit, and both forms of required ID
For test security and to ensure the quality of the testing environment for all testers, CELL PHONES AND OTHER PERSONAL DIGITAL DEVICES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE TESTING AREA FOR ANY REASON. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Fees For CLEP Testing
The cost for each test is $77.00 plus a $35.00 administration fee. These fees are nonrefundable. Administration fee of $35 must be paid at the Cashier’s window prior to testing, and two receipts are given to students. One will be turned into the TLCC. A fee of $10 has been set to cover the processing and handling of the optional essays for Freshman College Composition, English Literature, Analyzing and Interpreting Literature, and American Literature.

- Credit Card (preferred) - The $77test fee may be paid online at the time of the test
- Check or Money Order - The $77 test fee must be paid at the Cashier’s window the day of testing. All fees should be made out on separate checks or Money Orders
- $15.00 surcharge for insufficient credit on your credit card account.
- $35.00 Test Administration fee payable to Polk State College
- Test Administration Fee payable by cash, check, or credit
- $15.00 surcharge for returned checks
CLEP ID Policies
Have two ID's to present on the day of the test. The Primary ID must be a government-issued photo ID, which has your name and signature and a recognizable photograph, the following are acceptable:
- A current state-issued driver’s license
- A current passport
- A state-issued ID card
- A tribal ID
- A naturalization card
- A certification of citizenship
- The Secondary ID must have a photo OR signature such as:
- A Social Security card
- A student ID
- A credit card
- An employee ID
