TRiO Student Support Services

Polk State College’s TRIO Student Support Services program provides support to underrepresented students who have the potential to meet the challenges of higher education by strengthing and developing their academic and self-management skills. The TRiO Student Support Services program achieves its mission through collaborative work in the division of Student Services and Polk State College's academic departments.

Our focus is to ensure that program participants have a realistic chance to persist in college, graduate from Polk State College, and transition to a 4-year college or university. To accomplish these objectives, TRIO Student Support Services provides participants with the opportunity to enhance academic success, personal skills, and social skills, well. We strive to offer quality services for all students in these areas to correspond with Polk State College’s mission to support students’ intellectual development, personal growth, and community advancement.
