The 2012 Officers

President: Whitney Bielefeld
My name is Whitney Bielefeld, and I have been an active member and officer in Phi Theta Kappa fot the past two years. My journey as a PTK leader really blossomed when I was granted the honor of becoming Senator of Service in 2010. During my term, I was able to experience fellowship, service, leadership, and scholarship on an entirely new level and I was blown away. Since then I have participated in the 2011 Florida Regional Leadership Conference and helped host the 2011 Florida Regional Honors Institute. In April of 2011, I was able to attend the International Convention in Seattle, Washington. International inspired me to do bigger and better things within my chapter and I strongly believe as President, I will inspire my fellow Phi Theta Kappans just the same; together we could become one of the highest achieving chapters in the Florida Region. I am a growing leader. I possess many leadership qualities, but I'm always learning. My goal is to be a leader that everyone is comfortable working and sharing ideas with. I'm confident my drive, creativity, patience, and positive attitude will be great additions to the Xi Pi Chapter. Contact: wbielefeld@gmail.com

Vice-President - Winter Haven: Christina Santos
My name is Christina Santos i was just recently inducted into Phi Theta Kappa. I have lived in the state since 2002. I belong to two other groups that do service and charity. The Order of the Eastern Star and Ladies oriental shrine.  In the Order of the Eastern Star i have done community service which included helping with dinners and other events. This group donates to many charities. I have also helped my chapter support the Child I.D. program.(This program helps fingerprint and uses other I.D. methods on children, which is put into a packet for the parents, should the child go missing the police will have access to the vital information.) In Ladies oriental shrine I have done fundraising and served as several officers. I was the Lead officer for my court in 2009. I currently serve my court as Marshal as well as on my court's Shriners' Hospital Committee. Ladies oriental shrine supports as its main charity the Shriners' Hospital for children, i have delivered gifts to the hospital many times. I have also toured the hospital this is a very lasting memory.  I am happy to have the opportunity to serve the  Xi Pi chapter for the 2012 school year.

Vice-President - Lakeland: Erik Tukums
Hello fellow Xi Pi members. My name is Erik Tukums and I am your new Chapter Vice-President of Lakeland. I feel obligated to offer my services to the best of my ability to continue to run our ever expanding organization. It is my belief that I should put myself before my fellow members in any given situation and it is my sworn duty to not only be a prominent and determined leader, but your personal friend as we move proudly forward together. Senator - Leadership: Matt Smith
My name is Matthew Smith and I am your new Senator of Leadership. I believe I will be a good fit for the position because I am ambitious, self motivated, confident contacting people I do not know, very good with people, have represented multiple organizations (SGA, NHS), started a debate club (because debate members generally receive higher paying positions), and have worked on a feature film which was shown in local theaters.

Senator - Service: Donna Grant
My name is Donna Grant. I am  your new Senator of Service for 2012. I am a sophomore at Polk State College, working on an A.S. in Computer Systems and Business Analysis. I work full-time in a clerical position for Publix, a company which promotes civic responsibility among its employees. I live with my husband and two children. When my children were young, I was involved with them in scouting. I am interested in serving those in need and in helping you to do the same. We can work together to make a difference in our community.

Senator - Scholarship: Alan Roberts
My name is Alan Roberts and I am your new Senator of Scholarship.  Scholarship is a very important aspect of my life and I look forward to serving in this capacity.  I am a dual enrollment student who attends both Auburndale High School and the Winter Haven campus of PSC.  At AHS, I maintain a 4.2 GPA, which is the fourth highest in my class.  I am also a member of the National Honor Society, the National Society of High School Scholars and the Student Government Association, where I am the Senior Class Treasurer.  At PSC, I maintain a 4.0 GPA and have been an active member of Phi Theta Kappa since I was invited over the summer.   I would like to continue my service to Phi Theta Kappa through the office of the Senator of Scholarship.
