How to Begin an Internet or Hybrid Course
More specific information about each course, including any required class meetings, may be found on each course's homepage in PAL. It is the student's responsibility to check his/her specific courses' homepage(s) in PAL for directions on how to begin the course at least one week prior to the beginning of each term. Course homepages may be found by following the instructions to log in to PAL, available on the PAL Instructions page . Course homepages will be available using PAL (Polk Access to Learning - see below).
All Internet and Hybrid courses are delivered using PAL (Polk Access to Learning), PSC's learning management system. Once you have registered, one week prior to the term (or one week prior to the beginning date for FastTrack Session 2 or Term 3B in Summer), log in to PAL to - see instructions about how to log in to PAL and begin your course(s). Once you are logged into PAL, find your course under the "My Polk State College Courses" area and follow the link to that course's homepage. Note: you may have to click the plus (+) sign next to the name of the current term to expand the list of that term's courses. Once on a course's homepage, follow any instructions found there, and/or click on "Content" in the course navigation bar and read "How to Begin" or "How this Course Works" for further information.
