Collin Martin enters his first season as an Assistant Coach with the Vikings. Coach Martin returns to his hometown of Winter Haven and will be a tremendous asset to the Vikings Staff as he brings high school, collegiate and professional coaching experience to the program. At PSC his responsibilities will include assisting in all facets of the offense as well as handling a bulk of the recruiting responsibilities.

Before joining the Polk State staff he coached one season as an assisitant at Florida Southern College. While there he assisted with offensive instruction, handled outfield and base running duties and served as the First Base Coach.

Prior to Florida Southern, Martin served as an assistant coach at Winter Haven High School from 2006-2009 and spent the summer of 2009 as an assistant coach with the Cotuit Kettlers of the prestigious Cape Cod League. Before making the move to high school coaching he coached professionally for the Florence Freedom of the independent Frontier League in 2007.

Martin played collegiate baseball at Santa Fe Community College, where he was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2004. He transferred to Webber International University for the 2005-2006 seasons. In 2006 he was a First Team All- Florida Sun Conference selection, a First Team All-Southern Region choice and a Honorable Mention NAIA All-American. After college he signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Indians in 2006 and later with the Florence Freedom.

He is the son of Philadelphia Phillies Manager Charlie Manuel and currently resides in Winter Haven.
