CLEP Exams
PCC awards credit for the examinations in the College-Level Examination
Program for scores at or above the national 50th percentile on
the combined, men-women sophomore norms. Examinations must have
been taken in the national administration program of CLEP or institutional
administrations using the CLEP Microcomputer Scoring System and
transmitting student data to Educational Testing Service.
ADMINISTRATION AND FEES:
CLEP exams are administered every month at Polk Community College
on the Winter Haven campus. The only exception is the General
exam in English Composition with Essay, which is administered
only four times per year - January, April, June and October.
The cost per exam is $43 exam fee and a $10 administration fee.
Fees may be paid at the cashier's window on either campus by cash,
personal or cashier's check, money order, VISA or MasterCard.
Make checks and money orders payable to Polk Community College.
Registration must be completed and fees paid at least one week
prior to the exam date.
SCORES
Score reports are mailed approximately three weeks after testing
for all exams except English Composition with Essay, which takes
approximately 10 weeks for scores to be reported. Score reports
are mailed to the student and to the college identified as the
score recipient at the time of testing. Polk Community College's
score recipient code is 5548.
Score reports must be official and sent directly to PCC from CLEP.
Official score reports may be obtained by requesting them in writing
from ETS. CLEP Program - ETS. P. O. Box 6600, Mail Stop 18Q, Princeton,
NJ 08541-6600 or by calling for more information at (609) 771-7865.
Cost per official transcript of all CLEP scores if $15 and takes
approximately one week to process.
