Solicitation Intent/Objective:  The project includes construction of a practice soccer field at the Lakeland Campus.   The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, devices, appliances, utilities, transportation, and other facilities and services necessary to accomplish the construction.  Bleachers will NOT be included in the Scope of Work.

Award:  Awarded to Marcobay Construction, who is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.

Frequently Asked Questions Q:  The details on Sheet 2 do not address all the questions concerning the fence.  Are we to use SCH 40 piping?  A:  Yes, use schedule 40 piping. Q:  Is the 9 gauge a finished gauge?  A:  The fence is to be polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coated steel, No. 9 gauge (coated core diameter), core wire - zinc coated steel, black in color. Q:  Are specs available?  A:  The specifications are provided on the plans and as referenced to FDOT Standard Specifications and FDOT Design Standards (Index No. 802).  Q:  Sheet 5 of the plans indicate a 5 inch well is to be constructed.  Would a 4 inch diameter well be acceptable if the system is able to provide the required flow and pressure?  A: The drawing calls for a 2 inch diameter well with a 5 inch diameter casing. The contractor may use a smaller casing provided the size of the 2 inch submersible pump will fit properly into the casing. Q:  On Sheet 3 of the plans, what is the width of the slots on the C-Inlets?  A:  The slot is the width of the opening which is 2 feet. Q:  Sheet 3 requires a P-8 Manhole.  Please provide a typical drawing of this manhole or reference that provide a typical drawing.  A:  The P-8 Manhole is to be referenced to DOT index 200 & 201 Q:  What type(s) of information do I need to include regarding litigation? Q: I have a question about the ITB.  Who should I call?  A: All prospective Bidders are instructed that all contact must be through the Director of Purchasing (and should be done via EMail or faxed to 863-297-1085.  Contact with ANY other staff member or Board member is cause for rejection of your submittal.  Q: Is it really necessary to provide my Social Security number?  A: If you provide a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN), you do not need to provide a Social Security number.  We require either a FEIN or SSN to comply with IRS requirements. Q:  Do I need to include a Certificate of Insurance with my Submittal, or have my insurance agent mail one to PSC?  A:  No.  Only the awarded firm will need to provide a certificate of insurance.
