When making sales calls to the Purchasing Department, an appointment is highly recommended. If you need to cancel an appointment, you should notify the Purchasing Department as soon as possible. Our hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sales calls on individual departments are allowed; however, appointments should be made in advance and departments are not allowed to purchase materials at the time a sales call is made, as a purchase order must first be issued.
However, we recommend that rather than making a one-on-one short appointment, you attend one of our monthly Vendor Information Workshops.
The Purchasing Department has implemented having monthly meetings with vendors who are interested in doing business with the College. These meetings will be a forum to understand how PSC does business, how to do business with other public entities, how to register, and learn of future projects and the types of goods and services that PSC purchases. It is also an opportunity to network with other PSC potential suppliers, so be sure to bring business cards with you! To register to attend a workshop, EMail your RSVP to aarmbruster@polk.edu.
