Food, Fun, Fellowship, and Info to be Featured at PSC’s Welcome Week from Aug. 24 through 28
Students on Polk State College’s Lakeland and Winter Haven campuses will be treated to a variety of events during Welcome Week, to be held August 24 to 28. There will be music, free t-shirts, free food, and an assortment of games throughout the week. Welcome Week, held on the grounds of both campuses, is an activity of PSC’s Student Activities and Leadership Office.
Here’s the schedule:
Lakeland (All activities start at 10:30 a.m. in front of the LAC Building.)

Monday, Aug. 24- A real lion and monkey and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s NASCAR race car will be on exhibit. Free “Welcome Week” t-shirts will be distributed, and students will be able to make their own photo key chains, buttons, magnets, and postcards. A bloodmobile will also be on campus.
Winter Haven (All activities will be held next to the WLR Building. Times are listed below.)

Wednesday, Aug. 26- Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s NASCAR will be on exhibit. Students can take a turn at riding a mechanical bull and possibly win a Play Station 3. Free barbeque will be served beginning at noon.

Thursday, Aug. 27- A steel band will entertain, and 2,000 Island wings will be served up starting at noon.
