Polk State College Summer Term Registration Begins April 4
April 1, 2011 - Polk State College has announced that registration for its summer terms begins April 4, 2011. Dual enrollment registration begins April 11.
According to President Eileen Holden, the summer sessions have been designed to maximize flexibility and value for students: "Our challenge to students is for them to 'make summer count' -- and we are giving them the capacity to do that," she said.
Polk State offers students three summer terms from which to choose: a 12-week term and a FASTRACK 1 term beginning May 9, and a FASTRACK 2 term beginning June 22. Some classes are delivered fully online, some as hybrids (some online/some face-to-face time), and some are fully face-to face in the classroom. Returning students may register online in PASSPORT at polk.edu.
Polk State College requires an orientation session for all new degree-seeking students. New students applying for summer admission will be automatically scheduled for an orientation session in Lakeland or Winter Haven. All new students must attend orientation before registering for classes. Orientation sessions are offered Monday-Thursday in Lakeland and Winter Haven.
Students may visit the college website at polk.edu or call 863-297-1000 for more information.
