Polk State College Collegiate Charter High Schools Student Recruitment in February 2011
November 18, 2010 - The Polk State College collegiate charter high schools will conduct student recruitment and information sessions for the 2011-2012 school year in February 2011. Current high school sophomores and juniors are eligible to apply. Polk State College offers two collegiate charter high schools: the Polk State College Collegiate High School at the Lakeland campus and the Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School at the Winter Haven campus.
Polk State College collegiate charter high schools provide academic and technical education for serious high school juniors and seniors who wish to undertake college-level study while completing high school. Students are offered a program of high school and college courses to meet the requirements for a standard Florida high school diploma with the opportunity to take dual-enrolled college courses. In addition to AS, AAS or AA degree programs, courses that lead to industry certification specific to criminal justice, computer programming and infrastructure, and allied health are also available to CHS/COL students. There is no charge to the student.
