| Sanford, FL -- The Polk Vikings traveled to Seminole Community College on Wednesday night for their first road contest of the year. Polk began the evening much the same as last game. Their defense allowed them to get out and score some quick baskets and get up early 9-1. Their defense stayed tough and forced Seminole into some tough shots which allowed Polk to extend their first half lead to as many as 18. However a couple good possessions for Seminole at the end of the first half cut the Viking lead to 11 at the break, 43-32. Polk's defense got even better the second half as they maintained their halftime lead. Seminole made a few runs at the Vikings in the second period but were unable to get it closer than 9 before Polk pulled away for good clinching their first win of the year, 73-55. |
