Welcome to Our New Website!

Lora B. MartinMy name is Lora B. Martin, President of the Xi Pi Chapter. First, let me congratulate you on your achievement of becoming a Phi Theta Kappa member. You have worked extremely hard to earn this distinction and you should be commended.

The Xi Pi’s mission is to create an environment that will enrich the lives of our members, our school, and our community through Scholarship, Leadership, Service, & Fellowship. We accomplish this mission by being active within Polk Community College and within the community of Polk County. Other Scholarships Available

Please be aware that many scholarships have deadlines between now and January 2009. These scholarships are too numerous to mention here.

It is suggested to go to Phi Theta Kappa's international headquarters website to research the many scholarships available for only Phi Theta Kappa members.

Many scholarships require letters of reference from a professor, college administrator or chapter advisor. Please be courteous and give your advisor several days to properly prepare the documents you require. It is also helpful to let the writer know exactly what is expected in the letter.

Your professors are proud of you and most welcome the opportunity to help in your endeavor for further education.
