Fri. Nov. 22, 2002 "La Boheme" at Florida Southern College
  With International Circle, tickets are $10.00 for students.  These must be prepaid to Prof. Myers or Prof. Collins by Monday, Nov. 11 by NOON.  We will distribute tickets to those who prepaid in the following days through classes.   If not in class,  see Prof. Myers and Collins a.s.a.p.   Otherwise, tickets are $12.50 for student; regular - $25.00, and you would need to go there to purchase your own tickets.  Meet at Florida Southern at 7:00 p.m. at front entrance; please be prompt.   Dress is "church" elegant.

Columbia Restaurant -  Dinner and Flamenco Show
We have a 6:00 reservation for more than 25;  the flamenco show starts at 7:00.  If you are meeting at Barnes and Noble, please be there early - we would like to leave by 5:00 to avoid traffic and/or parking difficulties.  Brandon Lovering will be the club officer organizing at that site.   The final confirmation for the reservation will be Friday a.m.  Please contact Prof. Collins if you need to add to this list.  Friday nights are extremely busy at the Columbia and walk-ins will need to wait if they are not on our list.   Thanks for the enthusiasm.  Bon appétit and enjoy the music and dance show.
Second Spring Term Meeting -   February 15, 2002 at 2 - 3:00 in studios WLR 117  and  LLC 2298
Come join us for last minute details about the restaurant field trip, great news for the upcoming events (there are several plans in the making already) and T shirts information.  
FIRST SPRING TERM MEETING -  JAN. 18  2002 in studios  WLR 117   and  LLC 2298  at  2:00 - 3:30
Please join us to jump start the new year with great activities.   T-shirts are ready to be ordered, new ideas for monthly social meeting, and our January museum excursion will be discussed.  An idea for the club?    Pass it on to your Executive Council;  drop suggestions in the boxes located in LLC 2269  and  WLR 115.   
INTERNATIONAL MOVIES  
Throughout the semester,  several movies will be highlighted.  If you're interested in a film playing at the following theaters, let your officers and advisors know.  Let's plan an evening out for a movie and discussion.

Ringling Museum -   Sat. Jan. 26 2002  -    5401 Bay Shore Road,  Sarasota (941) (359-5700)
Participants plan to meet at Barnes and Noble in Lakeland (in front of Lakeland Square Mall) at 9:00 sharp to gather for car pooling or following others.  Entrance to the museum is free for Florida students.  (Bring your ID's, just in case.)  Otherwise, fees are $10 and seniors $9.00.  After our visit to the museum, a dinner gathering is planned for those not rushing home. We're considering a THAI restaurant.   Please inform your advisors if you plan to attend to better plan the travel, visit,  and meal.  
 HOLIDAY SOCIAL - Sun. Dec. 16 2001 MUSIC,  FOOD, AND FRIENDSHIP
On Sunday, December 16, PCCIC, will hold its first Annual Fall Term Holiday Social.  It will take place at the Auburndale Beach Clubhouse starting at 6:00 p.m. The club will purchase a Christmas tree for a drawing.  There will be some food items provided by the club, and everyone is asked to bring a dish of her choice - ethnic please.   Please sign up with Professors' Myers or Collins on either campus so the IC can plan for quantity of extras.  Let us know how many in your party and what you plan to bring.   Please bring a small gift for a fun gift exchange - no great expense, please...just nice, for fun.   Dress - semi-formal; nice, not elegant.    

Mozart's  Cosi Fan Tutte -  Nov. 16, 2001

On November, 16, 2001, the International Circle will be attending the San Francisco Opera's performance of Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte.  The opera will be performed at Florida Southern College.  The performance will begin at 7:30 pm sharp, but IC members will meet at Florida Southern at 7:00pm.  Tickets purchased through the IC cost $10.00.  
Amélie at Tampa Theatre  - Nov. 17, 2001
On Saturday November 17, 2001, the International Circle will be traveling to the Tampa Theatre to see the French film, Amélie. The IC will be attending the 4:45 pm showing, but members are asked to meet at the theatre at 4:30 pm.  Tickets purchased though the IC cost $3.75.  Tickets purchased at the theatre are $5.00 for matinees, and $7.00 for evening showings ($5.00 for students).  See Professor Collins or Professor Myers for maps to the theatre.
