Thank you for choosing
PCC to complete your degree. We look forward to helping you
with your transfer questions.

-
Our best advice is to
start
early. If you apply no later than six weeks before the term
starts, your credits will most likely be evaluated and
entered into PCC's student record system before the registration
period for the term is over. Apply six weeks before the
posted open registration date, if you want your credits
evaluated in time to register early.
-
Order a transcript
from every post-secondary college or university you
attended. See below for specific information about
accreditation and how it affects your transfer credit.
-
Have an unofficial copy
of your transcripts with you when you visit the advisor.
It will help them register you for appropriate classes without
duplicating what you have already had.
-
Look at your
Passport account
often to watch for your transcript evaluations and call us right
away if:
A.) You ordered a transcript
more than two weeks ago and it is not showing as received.
B.) You question the results
of any evaluation. (You should take this question to an advisor
who will complete an Advisor Action Request form with you to be
submitted to the Registrar)
TIPS ON ORDERING
TRANSCRIPTS
To order a transcript from
your sending institution(s), contact them or visit their website to
learn their
procedure. Most state colleges and universities will send an
electronic transcript which you can request through Passport, by
using the transcript request
feature. Some
institutions charge a transcript fee. A form is available below to
request a transcript from your previous institutions. Our mailing
address for paper transcript requests is:
TIPS ON NON-REGIONALLY
ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS
We will not accept credits
from schools that are not under a nationally approved accreditation
body. The CHEA
or
US DOE maintains lists of approved accrediting bodies. An
easy way to know if your institution is accredited by an approved
national accrediting body is that approved ones can distribute
federal financial aid. Schools with non-approved accrediting
bodies cannot distribute federal financial aid.
If your institution has an
approved accrediting body, then thoroughly complete the
Credit Evaluation Worksheet.
We will not process submitted worksheets that are not 100% complete.
You must be a matriculated student before we will process a
worksheet. A matriculated student has attended at least one
term past the add/drop day of the term and has a transcripted record
from PCC. You must make this request before the Add/Drop day of your
graduating term for credit transfer consideration.
Contact your transferring
institution's registrar for assistance with answers to the worksheet
questions. Each student must complete the worksheet. One
student's credit from a sending institution may be accepted but
another's not for the same course, depending on the factors on the
worksheet for the section of the course you took.
Contact the Senior
Transcript Evaluator by
email or by phone 863-297-1010 extension 5264.
No transfer credit is
guaranteed.

COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT
REQUEST |
If you attended any
other college or university at the post-secondary level, you
are required to provide a transcript from each school
attended. Please complete an
Incoming Transcript
Request form for each institution you attended. These
must be received within 30 days of your first term. |
|
HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT
REQUEST |
If you attended a
Florida HS, PCC can receive the transcript through FASTER
electronic transmission. Request that your HS send a
transcript after you complete an
application. If your high school is from out of state
or does not participate in FASTER then submit the
Incoming Transcript
Request form to them. |
