 Financial Aid is available to qualified veterans under the GI Bill.

Complete the VA application in the Financial Aid Office (either the Winter Haven or Lakeland campus) and present a certified copy of your DD-214 for certification purposes.

Further information is available in the PCC Veterans' Handbook obtained from the Financial Aid Office.

Initial active duty service after 06-30-85
Provision for conversion from Vietnam Era GI Bill
$1200 military pay reduction

Montgomery GI Bill--Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR, or Chapter 1606)

6 year Selected Reserve Obligation
Finish initial active duty training
Funded by DOD

Post-Vietnam Era Veterans' Educational Assistance Program (VEAP, or Chapter 32)

First entered on active duty after 12-31-76 and before
07-01-85.
Contributed to VEAP account while on active duty and before 04-01-87.
Maximum contribution is $2700
Government matches $2 for $1
May apply for refund of unused contributions

Survivors' & Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA, or Chapter 35)

Spouses & Children of Veterans Who:
--Died While on Active Duty, or
--Permanently & Totally Disabled, or
--Died From Service-Connected Disability, or
