Students may
borrow up to 15 hours Term I & II and up to 6 hours Term
III & IV for in-state tuition and lab fees only. This is
a 60-day no-interest loan for the Fall and Spring and a 30 day
loan for the summer semesters. Applications are obtained from
the Financial Aid Office. FAFSA is not required for these loans.
A. Procedure:
1. Pick up the
Short Term Loan Application at the Financial Aid Office.
2. After completing the Short Term Application, return it to
the
Financial Aid Office by the posted
date of the semester.
3. Applications are available
at the Winter Haven and Lakeland Campuses.
B. Eligibility:
1. Full and
part time students are eligible. 2. Students may not borrow if they owe any previous debts, have
defaulted on a previous loan at an educational institution, have
a financial obligation or late payment of a loan. 3. Employment or proof of ability to repay loan is required.
4. Must meet 2.00 G.P.A. and 66 2/3
requirements.
C. Awards:
- Students may
borrow the amount of their tuition, not to exceed the cost of
15 hours in-state tuition and lab fees for Term I & II or
up to 6 hours for Term III & IV.
