TLCC Mission Statement

The Academic Support Services unit of Information Technology Services strives to support, strengthen, and maintain academic excellence for students and faculty by providing tutoring, testing, computer, and audio-visual resources and services in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

Are you an individual that enjoys working with people and does well in a particular subject; English, math, computers, science? Why not become a tutor to help fellow students succeed in their college endeavor!

If you are interested you must have an overall GPA of 2.75 and have a GPA of 3.0 in the discipline you are interested in tutoring.

Requirements include: Content proficiency, ability to work with diverse populations, participation in paid training, and performing task related to front desk including but not limited to answering the phone, creating hand-outs, and directing students.

  Salary:

 

  Peer tutor (high school diploma): $8.00/hr
Professional Tutor (Bachelor’s degree): $9.50/hr

 
 

Applicants are asked to fill out two applications: TLCC Tutor Application and PCC Employment Application.

For the TLCC application, please fill out the application and submit it to the TLCC Supervisor on the campus in which you would like to tutor. For the PCC application information go to the PCC Human Resources Current Vacancies Page and follow the steps listed to apply.
