Course Description:

This course is an introduction to literature. Students read short stories, novels, poems and plays by noted writers of American and other world cultures. Through lectures, class discussions, and films, students aquire a historical perspective of literature, gain knowledge of literary terms, participate in class discussions about selected works, and write original compostions about literary topics.
