To successfully do a search in the databases or on the Internet you may need to combine some of the terms below to pinpoint the concept for which you seek information, such as Ivory Coast and pre-colonial to find material on Pre-Colonial history of the Ivory Coast.
In order to access these databases you will need to log into "LINCC Electronic Resources". You can get there by going to the Library's homepage, then clicking on Remote Access Databases or just click on the above hyperlink. From there you login in with your student ID to authorize your use of the following databases.
Academic Search Elite (EBSCOhost) - Full-text resource containing articles from over 1,250 journals on a wide range of academic areas including business, social sciences, multi-cultural studies, humanities, general academic, general science and education.
Facts on File (EBSCOhost) - Provides current events information on U.S. and world news in full text.
Ethnic News Watch Select (EBSCOhost) - Provides a rich collection of articles, editorials and reviews with a broad diversity of perspectives and viewpoints from the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic and minority press. This database contains information from 1996-present.
Britannica. com - (Direct off the Electronic Resources page at the bottom) - Research information about people, places, events and more from the Web's Best Sites, Encyclopædia Britannica, and articles from magazines
