THE NOTEBOOK:

 

Keep all materials for this class in a hard-bound three-ringed notebook.

 

Using tabs, divide the notebook into sections with the following titles:

 

1.      Course information and other handouts

a.       BCI sheets

b.      Policies

c.       Schedule

 

2.      Worksheets and exercises

a.       Materials from Troyka A

b.      Exercises printed from  computer (and saved to disk)

c.       Exercises should be printed on separate sheets and numbered by pages.

 

3.      Writing Assignments and Essays

 

4.      Research Paper

 

5.      Motivation and Initiative

a.       Print outs from CD Rom work

b.      Print outs from Web sites (including Grade Report forms)

c.       Print outs from Skills Bank

d.   Personal Editing Profile sheet

 

Bring the notebook to each class meeting.

This title page should be prepared for the first presentation of your notebook during Week Four.

 

When you present your notebook for the third reading during Week Fourteen, prepare a table of contents which lists all contents. Prepare, also a letter to the professor which reflects in detail on the work done during the class. Explain which assignments had the most value for you and why.
