COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYSIS
Programs: AS-5240 & AAS-5240

  This program prepares students for careers as data processors in organizations that have small computer installations. Students are trained to perform one or more of the jobs of computer operator, computer programmer, and systems designer. They also learn to write and run computer programs for the microcomputer and acquire knowledge of computer programming for business using fourth generation languages. General education courses and a core of computer science and business courses complete the curriculum.
   Students scoring below required levels on state mandated placement tests in English, reading, and mathematics are required to enroll in and complete the appropriate College Preparatory course(s) before enrolling in some program requirement courses.
