Multi-Media Centers
The Nursing Multi-media Centers are independent study labs used by
students in all levels of Nursing courses. These areas contain
audiovisual equipment, Nursing educational software, videos, networked
computers with Internet access and printers which Nursing
students use to view required AV programs and to complete written
assignments. A full-time Nursing Lab Assistant is available
on the Winter Haven campus to assist those students needing help using the AV equipment or
the lab computers.
The Winter Haven campus Nursing Multimedia Center hours of
operation during Fall and Spring semesters are Monday through
Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and
Saturday from 8:00 to 4:00 p.m. Summer hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Lakeland campus
Nursing Multimedia Center hours of operation during the Fall term
are Tuesday 9 am to 1 pm, Wednesday 4 to 8 pm, Thursday-8 am to 4 pm and Friday-11 am
to 3 pm.

Laboratory
The Nursing labs provide a realistic learning environment in which
students can practice their clinical skills. Multiple
hospital beds, manikins, models and equipment simulate a hospital
setting on both campuses. State of the art instructional
technology is offered through computerized simulator manikins, as well.
A full-time Nursing Lab Specialist, several part-time assistants
(Registered Nurses) and student tutors are employed in the
lab to provide guidance and supervision. The Winter Haven campus Nursing Laboratory
hours of operation during the Fall and Spring semesters
are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday
and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Summer hours are
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The
Lakeland campus Nursing Laboratory hours of
operation during the Fall term are Tuesday-9 am to 1 pm,

Practice
kits are available for every skill taught in the classroom labs.
The practice laboratory and equipment are resources which enable
students to become proficient in skills before working with
patients in the health care setting.
