MYMATHLAB
MyMathLab is a website offered free
with new copies of your required math text. Built within the CourseCompass platform, MyMathLab organizes interactive
tutorials, videos, quizzes, ebook reading, and other resources into learning
units for each chapter of the text. College and University students also have
free access to the Math Tutor Center.
Simply use your Course ID # when calling, faxing, etc. Visit the

textbook) AND the Course ID Number given to you by your

2) Register at www.mymathlab.com. You only register ONCE,
and will login thereafter using your personal login name and password.
3) Install the browser plug-ins on your home computer. Go to www.mymathlab.com
and click Site Requirements for
system requirements. These plug-ins
allow you to see animations, hear audio pronunciation of terms, complete the
interactive learning activities, and take online tests.
4) Technical
Support –
For technical support go to www.mymathlab.com and click the Technical Support link.
5) Browser Recommendations: Internet Explorer is preferred over
Netscape Navigator. America Online
users should use Internet Explorer as
their browser window (connect to the Internet with AOL, then minimize the AOL browser window and open Internet Explorer or Netscape).

Go to www.mymathlab.com

Click on First-time Users:
Student Registration

Click REGISTER
·
Enter the 6-word access code (from
your textbook) in the boxes, then click the Next button.
Enter your instructor’s Course ID number: polk33603
·
On the next screen, fill in your personal information (your name, email
address, etc.), Note: use your college zip code; click Next.

Select your school name from the pull-down
menu. Click Next.
·
Finally, create your own personal
login name and password.
·
Choose a security question from the dropdown menu and fill in your
answer.
·
Check the “I agree” box..
·
Once your login name and password have been accepted, you'll see a Confirmation Summary page. You may want to print this page for future
reference. You'll also get an email with this info on it. (Remember: you only register ONCE; every time you log in hereafter,
use your personal login name/password that you just created).

Go to www.coursecompass.com
·
Click Log in.
·
Enter the login name and password that you created during registration
· At the Welcome page, you will see your course under the heading Courses you are taking. Click the course name to enter MyMathLab.

Click the Announcements
button to view additional information and navigation tips.
·
Click the Course Documents
button to find content that is organized by chapter Learning Units and for
other resources that span across multiple chapters.

Click the Communication button
to send Email.
·
Click the Tools button to
Edit your Homepage, check your Grades, etc.
·
The MyMathLab Gradebook tracks only the Post-Test at the end
of each Learning Unit and any additional online tests that I may assign. MyMathLab does NOT reflect any in-class tests
or other grades I may give.
* Note: I may have customized the MyMathLab online CourseCompass course and may have removed or changed any of these features. I will announce such changes at the beginning of each term.
