Greetings!
I wanted to tell you a little about myself in case you were not able to attend the first class meeting. As for the preliminaries, I am Mrs. Scofield and I am your instructor for the term. Feel free to stop by or e-mail if you have questions.
I am a true Florida native, and I pursued my education at several fine institutions in the state. I have a B.S. in Mathematics from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, and I have an M.S. in Mathematical Science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
I began my teaching experiences with a multitude of tutoring positions at FSC and then tutored for Sylvan Learning Centers after graduation. I eventually taught at a middle school in the area and then taught college classes at UCF during my graduate career. Now I am blessed to have this position at PCC.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, gardening in my yard, reading in my hammock, or playing with my dog Trig. (That Trig is short for Trigonometry, the result of two math nerds...err...teachers being married.)
