Attendance |
|
4
free hours of absences. I do not distinguish between excused and
unexcused absences. Absences beyond 4 hours lose:
|
| |
2 points for MWF or MTWTh classes
3 points for TH classes
6 points for once-a-week classes. |
| |
Cell Phones—You
must be fully present in class. This means that you must not
concern yourself with outside communication. If your cell phone rings,
vibrates, beeps, etc; if you check your voicemail; or if you talk on
your cell during class, you will be counted absent for
the day. |
| |
|
Students may be
dropped from the course at the instructor’s discretion with more
than: |
| |
3 hours of absences within the first 4
weeks of class
4 hours of absences within the first 6 weeks of class
6 hours of absences at the last day of withdrawal |
| |
Absence does NOT excuse you from turning
in work.
I do not evaluate late: |
| |
Quizzes |
| |
Classwork |
| |
Homework |
| |
Journal Entries |
|
Students who miss class are responsible
for contacting classmates to obtain notes and assignment information.
|
| |
Class Contacts
Record the name, e-mail,
and phone number of 3 class contacts on the back of this form. |
| |
Tardiness
If you are more than 10 minutes
late, you are absent. Treat your fellow students and your instructor
with respect, and demonstrate self-respect by not interrupting class by
arriving more than 10 minutes late. |
| |
Late Work
Make up tests will receive a 5
point penalty. The student is responsible for making
arrangements for taking a make up test. |
| |
|
Late papers and projects will receive a 5
point penalty. Late papers and projects must be submitted within two
weeks of the original due date. |
| |
|
I have read this attendance and late-work
policy. I understand the policy and agree to work within its
parameters. |
