Title: SALT DRAWING WITH WATERCOLOR
Grade Level: Pre-K – 6
Objectives: Fine motor skill development, creativity, color recognition
Materials: White Glue
Heavy white paper
Salt
Watercolors
Procedure:

1. |
Draw with the glue on the white paper. Create a series of patterns and designs. Leave some space between the designs so the glue doesn’t run together. |

2. |
Before the glue dries, sprinkle table salt onto the glue. |
|
3. |
Allow the glue to dry completely on a flat surface. |
|
4. |
Paint the designs with watercolor. |
|
5. |
Allow to dry completely on a flat surface. |
|

Evaluation: Discuss the designs made and how the watercolor interacts with the salt crystals.
