Variation: Use scissors to cut the shape of a butterfly from a white paper plate. Paint the butterfly with watercolors and allow to dry completely. Use markers to add details to the wings.
Evaluation: Discuss the creation of the artwork. Think of how beautiful butterflies are as they fly. Think of all the other things in the world that can fly. How many can you name? Remark on the variations of colors/different results created by using the same materials. Each one is different and beautiful just like the student who made it.
