Title:                       DRAWING/PAINTING SKILLS – Bubble Art

 

Grade Level:          Pre-K – 6

 

Objectives:            Fine motor skill development, creativity, follows directions

 

Materials:              White Construction paper, drawing paper

Small bottles of soap bubbles

Bubble wands, pipes

Tempera paint                      

                                A mouth and a good set of lungs

                                                               

Procedure:             1.             Cover table with newspaper

2.                    Put a few drops of tempera paint into each bottle of bubbles.  Use a different bottle for each color.

3.                    Shake the bottle to evenly distribute the paint.

4.                    Put the bubble wand into the bubbles and blow across the paper.

5.                    Repeat with other colors until desired effect is achieved

 

Evaluation:            Discuss the designs made; discuss the process used to create the design.
