Assignment Schedule for ENC 1141 Section 2220
Professor Jude Michael Ryan

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A TENTATIVE SCHEDULE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS NEEDED
You will not find exact dates next toe the readings. We will read these works of art throughout the twelve week term. I will prod you as we go to read on and respond to web board postings. This is a twelve week course, so there is a great deal to do in a narrow space of time. Keep up! The dates for the mid-term and final are posted below as well as the dates for the papers you will be writing. The mid term exam will cover the genre of the Short Story. The final will deal with drama, poetry, and the novel. Unless I sepcifically state otherwise, those dates will apply to the course. Topics on the list below that are not assignments or reading titles are pages with information you must know to follow the course. All of this material could appear in the form of questions on your exams.

NOTE: The Catcher in the Rye is a famous novel that we will be reading. The main character uses a large amount of language that some people consider profane. If this means you will not be comfortable reading the book, do not take this course; I do not offer alternative readings.
