Institutional Effective Reports
Required College Success Outcomes

These are suggestions only! You are welcome to devise your own strategies. Please remember that you must fill out a faculty report form documenting the number of students who completed these outcomes.

1. Design an individual study plan for English, math, and science courses.

Students can display these assignments in their portfolios at the end of the semester.

2. List lifestyle changes that will contribute to success in college.

The Time Log (p. 44) and evaluation questions (Exercises 2.4 and 2.5 on pp. 42 - 3) meet this requirement.

3. Demonstrate the ability to access information through basic library resources.

Many information literacy suggestions are posted at the instructors' website. The librarians (EXT 5040 in Winter Haven, 6203) are wonderful resources. The "countries" assignment on the website is an excellent introduction to research. Librarians designed this assignment and will be happy to help you.

4. Demonstrate the ability to solve problems by accessing college resources.

Students should be able to use the PCC website (www.polk.cc.fl.us) to access information about Financial Aid, the TLCC's, and Student Services. They should know how to find and use the personnel directory.

You may also invite speakers from Financial Aid, Trio, the TLCC, and the library to talk about their services.
