Biography

Beverly Woolery

Degrees, majors, and institution: I received my B.S. degree at Florida Southern in Elementary Education/Early Childhood. I received my Masters at Nova Southeastern University in Educational Leadership.

Awards and publications: Received PCC Endowed Chair Award 2002. Professor of the Year 2001, PCC C.A.V.E. Club. I have received the Dwight D. Eisenhower Science and Math Award, Walt Disney Award for creative teaching, Earth Day Award “Reusing the News”, and Wings Beneath My Wings Award.

Personal Information: I began teaching at Polk Community College in 1998. I have loved every minute of it! I am a single parent with 4 children. Two of my children have recently graduated from college, one is attending Southeastern College, and the youngest one is a part-time student at PCC. I love the beach, boating, and shopping. I am a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Winter Haven. My office is decorated with sunflowers and yes, you will see Beanie Babies on my shelves along with my Eric Carle book collection.

My motto is "You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself".
