MANAGER OF STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER-LW 

Polk Community College is currently seeking qualified applicants for the Manager of the Student Success Center for the JD Alexander Center which will open in January 2009 in Lake Wales, Florida.  This is a professional/technical position reporting to the Winter Haven Provost.  This position is responsible for the daily operation of the JD Alexander Center which includes the Student Success Center. 

Responsibilities include:  The Manager of the Student Success Center will supervise and manage the daily operations of the Student Success Center which includes staff supervision, budget management, establishing policies, guidelines and procedures, as well as establishing long and short term goals.  The manager will work with college staff on the Winter Haven campus to ensure that services provided are consistent between the campus and center. 

The manager will also oversee the daily operations of the JD Alexander Center which includes ensuring that the center operates in a professional manner at all times.  The manager will work closely with the Dean of Academic Affairs, Director of the TLCC/Library and the Dean of Student Services on the Winter Haven campus to establish an environment of excellence and commitment to student success at all times. 

Qualifications include:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in library science, education or related field. Three (3) years experience demonstrating student success is preferred
