The Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Student Services is a key member of the staff and is responsible for the daily operation of the Dean’s Office. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining official student records including discipline, scheduling appointments and meetings for the Dean, coordinating and disseminating information, assist with various budget management, and handle the Dean’s correspondence.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-directed and innovative individual with excellent organizational and customer service skills and problem solving capabilities. Computer and word processing skills are required and the Administrative Assistant must have the ability to format business letters and attend various meetings & transcribe the minutes. Due to the nature of the information that comes through the Dean’s office, the ideal candidate must be able to keep confidences.
Qualifications include: Graduation from a standard high school (or equivalent). Two years of secretarial/clerical work experience required. Typing, Word and Excel tests are needed.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM- 5:00PM. Some evenings and Saturdays may be required from time to time.
