ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS

 

Chain of Lakes, Collegiate High School of Polk Community College is currently seeking part time, Adjunct Faculty to teach High School subject at the Chain of Lakes, Collegiate High located on the Winter Haven Polk Community College campus beginning in Fall 2008. Qualifications and requirements are listed below:

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

·         Minimum requirements include graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.  All degrees must be from a regionally – accredited post secondary institution.  Valid Florida certificate for full time teaching or a Florida Department of Education Official Statement of Status of Eligibility that indicates you are eligible to be issued a Florida certificate in appropriate subject grades 9-12. Multiple certificates a plus.  

·         High School teaching experience is preferred, but not required.

·         A criminal background check will be required prior to employment.

·         Applicants must submit the completed PCC Employment Application, Adjunct Faculty Qualifications Addendum, and unofficial copies of academic transcripts.  All forms can be found on the PCC website at www.polk.edu/hr.  Submissions that do not include all required information will not be considered. Application review will begin on August 22, 2008, although applications will be accepted until the positions are  filled. We offer a competitive salary.
