ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS

 

Polk Community College is currently seeking part-time, temporary ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS to teach PCC courses beginning August 2008 for  Fall semester. The needed subject areas are: Accounting,  Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, History,  Office Administration, Medical Office Administration, Medical Transcription, Network Engineering, Supply-Chain Management,  English,  Math, Geography, Oceanography,  Earth Science & Physics.  Instructors needed for day and evening classes.  Qualifications and requirements are listed below:

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

·         Faculty for General Education and transfer courses require a Master’s degree with a major in field or a related sub-field, or 18 graduate semester hours in specific discipline + Master's degree. Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree and demonstrated competency in the teaching discipline required for non-transferable courses. Networking Engineering Adjuncts need to have a Bachelor Science degree and be MCSE 2003 certified.  

·          Teaching experience is preferred

·         A criminal background check will be required prior to employment.

·         Applicants must submit the completed PCC Employment Application, Adjunct Faculty Qualifications Addendum, and unofficial copies of academic transcriptsAll forms can be found on the PCC website at www.polk.edu/hr.  Submissions that do not include all required information will not be considered.  Positions will remain open until filled.
