Downloading Instructions
We
suggest you print the following instructions before going to the Adobe
site.
NOTE: Adobe may have revised their site
since these illustrations were created on Dec. 1, 2005.
In
order to view a
PDF file or Portable Document Format file,
you'll need the free Adobe ReaderŪ software. Many PCs come with the
Adobe Reader
already installed.
You'll need the 5.0 or above version to view the PCC class
listings, Catalog or other information on PCC's web site. If your computer doesn't have this software already,
you can download it for free.
Here's how to download the free Adobe
Reader:
-
A File
Download dialog box will pop up. In it, select "Save."
-
In the next
dialog box (Save As) select Desktop.

-
Go to your desktop and locate
the Adobe icon (that begins: AdbeRdr
č
or something similar).
Double click the icon to begin the software installation.
-
The file should complete it's
installation download and allow you to open or run it. NOTE:
(Once the Adobe Reader is installed and you select a PDF
file, it will automatically load the Adobe Reader software.)
-
Click here for Adobe's help page, if
you have problems
with the download and/or installing Adobe Acrobat.

Tips on Using Adobe Reader
Adobe Reader allows
you to look through the document using scroll bars. You may also
find some of these tools helpful:
-
These buttons: allow you to move through the listings.
-
These buttons: and these buttons:
allow you to
adjust your zoom.
-
This button: allows you to
access the find function (if you selected the download
option, which allows you to search PDF files). Here's a good
way to use the find function. If you want to look at all
the Literature classes offered in our Class Listings or want
to read the course description for Literature in our Catalog, you can jump through the listings
right to that section. Click the button.
A dialog box entitled: Find will appear. Type LITERATURE
(upper or lower case) in the box and then press the Find
button and the software will locate the first instance of
LITERATURE.
